A Place To Belong & Become

Small groups are the best place for adults to develop life-giving relationships and spiritual growth.

Why Small Groups?

One frequently noted objection to being part of or joining a large, growing church is the fear that increased growth will result in a loss of intimacy and the feeling of "family." Small Groups are designed to provide that intimacy and a sense of belonging as you become more like Christ in your everyday life.

How do Small Groups function?

Small Groups at Faith are...

  • a network of small groups meeting in various locations
  • for both members and friends of Faith
  • an ideal place to bring both your churched and unchurched friends
  • the central place for giving and receiving care
  • a primary place for your Christian growth

What is a Small Group?

Small Groups are Faith’s building blocks! Spiritual care and support take place in the Small Groups, as well as providing a place where you can build relationships with others and care for one another through the ups and downs of life.  In groups, we also strive to "think and act like Jesus" and become more purposeful about reaching others for Christ. Small Groups meet in homes, restaurants, workplaces and/or at church, and include at least three people.

How Often Do Small Groups Meet?

Small Groups meet at least twice a month. In the beginning, Small Groups are encouraged to meet on a weekly basis in order to build a spirit of group cohesiveness. However, the important factor in how often the group meets is the needs and personal schedules of the people in that Small Group.

Which Small Group Will I Be In?

Small Groups take advantage of the natural relationships and common needs which already exist among people. Therefore, you are always encouraged to invite your friends to participate in your Small Group.

How can my Small Group serve?

At Faith, all Small Groups are encouraged to reach out and serve. For ideas on where or how to serve, click here.  Whether you work with one of these organizations or come up with your own idea, be sure to share your stories with Kay Bach.
