Our Process

We achieve our mission through a three-pronged approach:

Love God – Experience Community – Reach People

Love GodLOVE GOD

The first commandment mentioned in the Old Testament states: “You shall have no other gods.”  The great reformer, Martin Luther, asks, “What does this mean?”  His answer: “We should fear, love and trust in God above all things.”

Loving God is a declaration of our desire to worship Him above all things.  The Apostle John wrote, “We love Him because He first loved us.”  Loving God has its roots in the good news.

The good news is “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” - John 3:16.  Because of God’s love for the world He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile humanity to God.  Jesus was once asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” Jesus answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” - Mark 12:30.

Our love for God reveals itself as we personally (read God’s Word, pray, devote time to God) and corporately (regular worship with God’s people) praise God for who He is, what He has done, how He has revealed to us His love for sinners and the promise of eternal life to all who receive Him.

Experience CommunityEXPERIENCE COMMUNITY

What is community? It’s another word for fellowship.  Scripture clearly states: God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful - 1 Corinthians 1:9.  The early church devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, food, prayer. . .and all the believers were together. . . - Acts 2:42-44.

This is a community that flows out of the fellowship that exists between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit “calls, gathers, enlightens and sanctifies (or makes holy) the whole Christian church on earth." Each of us is called into this fellowship, a joint participation with God in order to experience a joint participation, fellowship or community with one another.

Christian community is simply sharing a common life in Christ. It moves us beyond the self-interested isolation of private lives and beyond the superficial social contacts that pass for “Christian fellowship.” The biblical ideal of community challenges us instead to commit ourselves to life together as the people of God. As we serve, share, pray and care for one another, we do this within the context of a small group, a small community of people.

Reach PeopleREACH PEOPLE

In accordance to our mission, we will worship God above all things (Love God) and join together in experiencing community with other Christ-followers, for the purpose of reaching believers and non-believers for Jesus Christ.  Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  His command to the church before he left this earth was to . . .go and make disciples of all nations. . . - Matthew 28:19.

All our activities will constantly revolve around our mission of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ in Oakville, St. Louis metro area and region, and ultimately throughout the world.  We will do everything in our power and with the power and authority of the Holy Spirit to see that people are reached and equipped to glorify Jesus Christ!
